How dannistories Won | National Novel Writing Month

Gray bars are the daily writing goal, and brown bars are my actual daily count. Note the absence of work for about a week or more! Just goes to show you that you CAN come from sadly behind to win. Never give up. Note that on Nov. 28th, I only had less than 27,000 words, about half what I needed. In two days, I did it. You can, too! Join me in Nov. 2010 to do this crazy NaNo again! Write 50,000 words towards a novel, and win! Most who attempt this are first-time novel writers. The forums give you plenty of encouragement and a chance to make a bunch of new friends. I am thinking of attempting a script for the first time in April, when the Office of Letters and Light [who sponsors NaNoWriMo] sponsors ScriptFrenzy. For you teachers out there, ScriptFrenzy also offers a program for Young Writers, and many classrooms participate in NaNoWriMo's Young Writers Program. Any of you who know teachers, send them to http://www.nanowrimo.org for more info! It's a wonderful way to get young people interested in writing!
