Laptop for every pupil in Uruguay

I think this is an excellent idea. If Uruguay thinks it's that important to spend 5% of their school budget on it, why aren't we doing this? The Linux operating system is free, updates are free, and there is a ton of educational software available for it - free. I think they made a big mistake putting Windows on their laptops for blind children. There are Linux softwares available for the handicapped, and the blind children are likely to be angry that their computers have more downtime. I just migrated to Linux and love the stability of my PC now!
